Best of 2007: the shortlist

Just dropping by to give the full list of the SR's best of the year:

As I mentioned on the air, those records caused me to have an even greater appreciation of each artist (in the case of the soundtrack, the music of Bob Dylan) and to actually go back to previous works and reevaluate them in a new light. Higher praise for an artist's newest release I can't imagine. In the case of BSS and the New Ps, they also provided my favorite concert moments of the year as well, with I'm Not There being my favorite movie. Kudos all around.

I've got a small list of some more honorable mentions to come over the weekend. For now, here's a couple of upcoming playlists:

2/5: Apostle of Hustle, Los Campesinos, Brian Joseph Davis
Additions and corrections forthcoming. No show on 1/21, cuz I'm finally going to see the Fiery Furnaces, actually coming to our fair city at the Bug Jar. I've always heard that you haven't fully understood them thil you catch them on stage, and this is as good a time as any. More soon...
